About Hayes Jewelers
Founded in 1939 by Delmar Hayes in Lexington, North Carolina, Hayes Jewelers has evolved into one of the Southeast’s largest diamond superstores. Currently overseen by Delmar’s son, Bruce, known as “The King of Diamonds,” the multi-generational commitment to quality and service is evident. Bruce’s journey, from learning the diamond trade in New York City to his son Zack joining the business in 1983, marks a legacy rooted in expertise.
Offering a diverse range of jewelry, including diamond engagement rings, wedding bands, and loose diamonds, Hayes Jewelers caters to both local customers and celebrities like Chris Paul and Jeff Gordon. Beyond its jewelry offerings, the store’s involvement in stock car racing, recognized by NASCAR for over 55 years, adds a unique touch to its rich history. From receiving the NASCAR’s Allison Family Corporate Award in 2014 to designing trophies for NASCAR, the store’s contributions extend beyond jewelry into the realms of sports and community engagement.
