The venture into their own business began in 1986 when Richard, together with his brother Salvatore D’Errico, who joined him after completing school, set up their first manufacturing facility in a Bronx garage on the same block where they grew up. Their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction quickly led to the establishment of D’Errico’s Platinum Corp and the opening of their first store on Williamsbridge Road in 1989.
The brothers specialize in creating bespoke jewelry pieces, offering everything from custom engagement rings and wedding bands to rare gemstones and jewelry redesign. Their full-service factory store not only allows them to craft unique pieces in-house but also enables them to conduct most jewelry repairs directly in front of their customers, adding a layer of transparency and trust to the buying experience.
