Founded in York, Pennsylvania, as Kranich Brothers Jewelers, the brand has evolved through the years under the stewardship of the Kranich family. The Altoona store, opened in 1923, marked the beginning of a significant expansion, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Charles and Mildred Kranich. Later joined by their son Michael in 1962, the family business saw new horizons with the opening of stores in State College, home to Penn State University, and another location in Johnstown Galleria.
