About Stadler's Jewelry
In 1958, Stadler’s Jewelry was established by Irmgard and Richard Stadler, recent German immigrants who arrived in the United States with their three children—Nick, Richard, and Ingeborg—just two years earlier, in 1956.
With only $100.00 at their disposal, the young couple embarked on their entrepreneurial journey by setting up a modest jewelry and watch repair shop beneath their Cleveland apartment. While Richard fulfilled his duties at the Cleveland Twist Drill Company during the day, Irmgard diligently managed the store. Their unwavering commitment led them to dedicate their evenings to the craft, working tirelessly to repair jewelry and watches alongside Richard’s factory shifts for a decade.
Despite initial struggles, the family business gradually gained traction and achieved viability. By 1968, Stadler’s Jewelry had relocated to Rocky River, and in 1980, they acquired their current location at 20502 Center Ridge Road. Driven by a vision to offer a unique shopping experience, the Stadler’s embarked on frequent purchasing trips across continents and forged crucial connections with designers at international jewelry shows. Today, Nick and Henry, the sons of Irmgard and Richard, jointly oversee the jewelry business and continue their family’s legacy.
