In 1975, Donnie Thompson, a jeweler fueled by grand ambitions, began his journey with just four small showcases at the National Hills Shopping Center in Augusta. Over nearly four decades, Windsor’s evolution has seen it occupy three distinct locations, each no more than 300 feet apart. Driven by increasing customer demand, Windsor outgrew its initial space and transitioned to a larger venue across the shopping center, converting an old bank branch into its new home. Business flourished under Mr. Thompson’s guidance until his vision for a towering two-story mega-store materialized in 1998.
